Fit by 50 – Week 31 to 28: Moving Forward & Working the Plan

I had a whole other post planned for today…I was going to tell you about my failures and successes over the holidays, and I had both…major failure and wonderful success! Instead, my heart pointed me in a different direction and I always follow my heart.

On December 31, 2018 I did a 3 day bone broth/low carb smoothie fast. Then one week ago today, I started my new life as a member of the ketogenic diet movement. I’ll post all about it next week, I promise, including my numbers, such as pounds, inches, body fat lost and lean muscle gain. For now, know that I FEEL ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I’ve had a few different plans since this journey began, but I haven’t been this motivated or passionate about any other plan, like I am this keto plan. I am cautiously optimistic.

I won’t go into too much detail now, but I can say this: If I don’t lose another pound, or gain any more lean muscle, if I stay at the exact weight I am at this moment, I’ll be happy and I’ll stick with this eating style, because I feel wonderful. I have more energy than I’ve had in years.

Normally, I’m not a morning person. My better half is a morning person. I always found it so annoying that he would wake up with so much energy, ready to hop out of bed and start his day. I had no idea what that was like….until now! Because that’s how my mornings are now! I’m still have some sleeping/insomnia issues, but am working those out. Also, the energy is consistent throughout the day. There are no ups and downs. just a nice steady stream of consistent energy.

Now that I have energy back, my desire to exercise is much better, though it’s still not my favorite thing in the world. So, I decided to look for some motivation and inspiration on youtube. There are hundreds of wonderful  and inspiring videos, but my heart led me to this one. It talks about the need to be consistent. There are no short cuts, just hard work.

Now that I have a plan I love….
