Eugenie Mikhailovna Shakhovskaya Was the First Female Military Pilot in 1914
Instead of quotes this week, I’m highlighting facts about WWI, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the end of the war on November 11, 1918. I know I usually do inspiring quotes, but I feel it is important to remember history.
As it turns out, women weren’t just support for men. Women sometimes participated directly in confict. Eugenie Mikhailovna Shakhovskaya became the first female military pilot, when she flew a spy plane on a mission for Russia in 1914.
To our veterans
and those in our military….
Good night and God bless!
Until next time…
Namaste my friends!
