I pay no attention whatever to anybody’s praise or blame. I simply follow my own feelings. ~ Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Each morning this week, I’m highlighting a recipe from the 18th century, so…

my quotes each evening will come from a historical figure of that era.

I hope you enjoy, and as always,

let me know your thoughts.

Good night and God bless!

Until next time…

About Tamara Hoerner (1145 Articles)
Welcome to The Purple Almond! My name is Tamara Hoerner. I am a student at Hawthorn University working toward a Master of Science in Health and Nutrition Education. For me, the name Purple Almond symbolizes “Good, nutritious, whole food bringing light and life to the body, awakening the inherent healing mechanisms within.” I'm all about getting back to the basics, good old fashioned traditional organic, whole food, the kind your great-grandmother used to eat. You'll find no processed foods here. Just good food to heal your whole body. I also believe a healthy body isn't just about food. Stress plays a large part in the physical health of our body. I, therefore, believe in using anything that relieves stress and heals the body, including: mediation, yoga, music, laughter, inspiration and helping others. You'll find all these included in my blog as well.

  2. There is wisdom in not paying too much mind to what others think of us, although compliments are nice to hear once in a while. 🙂

    • Indeed! Everyone likes a good compliment. With that said, we should feel good about ourselves without one. Easier said than done, I’m afraid.

      • I was just thinking about this, and you’re right, but I also think that sometimes another’s praise can help us see a strength in ourselves we didn’t realize we had and that can definitely build up our self confidence and self worth. I believe we’re in this life together so if I can help build someone else up I’m all for that. 😊

      • You’re absolutely correct. Very good point. I always try to help people whenever I can, random acts of kindness, etc. Paying someone a simple compliment falls into that category. I try to do it whenever I can.
