I literally just watched this on Facebook, and knew I had to share it. This is so inspiring and motivational. Below is Mandy Harvey on America’s Got Talent. Mandy lost her hearing when she was 18 years old. She tells the story of the day she realized she couldn’t hear at all any more, and how she decided not to give up on her musical dream.

“I want to do more with my life than just give up.” ~ Mandy Harvey

Watch this video below, for an amazing story of determination and a refusal to fail. Sometimes God just leads us to the perfect thing we need. I was just feeling bad about my weight loss this week for my Fit by 50 challenge, wondering if this is all worth it. I had a rough weekend and gained a few pounds. You see, in order for me to lose 1 pound from last Thursday, I actually have to lose 4 pounds!!  I was berating myself for starting this whole thing in the hole! Did I fail before I even really got things going? THEN, I saw this video. It literally took my breath away and brought tears to my eyes. It inspired me to just keep on plugging away. After all, I still have 49 weeks to make this up! Like Mandy, I want to do more with my life than just give up.

If you needed some inspiration or motivation today,

THIS IS IT!

So, here’s Mandy

with her story

and

her original song …

“Try”.

LOVE THIS!

  1. I just happened to be here when the singer came on to talk, and sing. Wow. She has a wonderful voice…….with no hearing. Thank you for being here, and putting this on. I don’t know how I came by, but it is not an accident. This is amazing. Thank you!
