I grew up eating delicious German food, cooked lovingly by my amazing Grandmother. This week, I’ll be highlighting some wonderful recipes from this wonderful part of the world.
The recipes will be coming from the Youtube channel
This Youtube channel, and website, ” is dedicated to teach how to cook authentic, traditional and modern German recipes.” So, let’s get cooking! 😋
I’ve actually never had bread dumplings. The main dumpling we had were called “cheese buttons” or “Kase knoephla” – Recipe can be found here) I wanted to include a dumpling recipe this week, and this one was recommended as a side dish to the Sauerbraten recipe. They look great, however – I wonder if this would work with gluten free bread? I’m wondering if they would hold together.
Here’s the recipe:
- 14 rolls
- 1 onion
- 1 bunch parsley
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 2 cups milk
- 6 eggs
- 1 ½ tbsp. salt
- ½ tsp. pepper
- ¼ cup bread crumbs
