Morning Video Series: Authentic German Red Cabbage Salad

I grew up eating delicious German food, cooked lovingly by my amazing Grandmother. This week, I’ll be highlighting some wonderful recipes from this wonderful part of the world.

The recipes will be coming from the Youtube channel

All Tastes German.

This Youtube channel, and website, ” is dedicated to teach how to cook authentic, traditional and modern German recipes.” So, let’s get cooking! 😋

Coleslaw was another of the favorite things my Grandmother used to make. People would ask her the recipe, but she could never tell them. “A little of this, a little of that” she used to say. I found a red cabbage salad on All Tastes German. While it isn’t quite the same as coleslaw, it still looks delicious! Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients: (For the complete recipe, follow this link – or watch the video below)

  • 1 small head of red cabbage
  • 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper

I'd love to know what you think!
