Just thought you should know… All About The Purple Almond Resource Page

Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a great day. During my studies at Hawthorn University, I often come across links to very useful nutrition resources, either through my own research or through assignments from the University. When I started this blog, I designed a page specifically dedicated to nutrition websites and resources. I add to this page on occasion.  Today, in the course of studying, I came across several more sites, which I just added to the page. I’m not sure how many of you are aware of the page, so I decided to bring it to your attention.

I only allow high quality sites on this page. I have set very high standards as to what sites are added to this page. To give you an example as to my standards, approached me a few months ago with a request for their blog to be added to my resource page. I turned them down after researching their site. While their blog has lots of helpful information, it is mostly an advertisement for their services. I am not interested in advertising for anyone, only in offering you the best research tools available.

As I continue on down the road toward my Master’s degree, I will keep adding to this page. If you know of a blog, or website that should be listed on this page, please leave a comment, or contact me via email or my contact page. THANKS!

My Resource Page link is in the tool bar at the top of the page, or you may access it here:

About Tamara Hoerner (1256 Articles)
Welcome to The Purple Almond! My name is Tamara Hoerner. I am a student at Hawthorn University working toward a Master of Science in Health and Nutrition Education. For me, the name Purple Almond symbolizes “Good, nutritious, whole food bringing light and life to the body, awakening the inherent healing mechanisms within.” I'm all about getting back to the basics, good old fashioned traditional organic, whole food, the kind your great-grandmother used to eat. You'll find no processed foods here. Just good food to heal your whole body. I also believe a healthy body isn't just about food. Stress plays a large part in the physical health of our body. I, therefore, believe in using anything that relieves stress and heals the body, including: mediation, yoga, music, laughter, inspiration and helping others. You'll find all these included in my blog as well.

  3. I don’t know if you ever visited Sally Cronin’s blog, but, she has one on health, no sales, just great information.
She also has several blogs and is great at sharing and promoting our blogs. Pop over and take a look. ☺
