What is your purpose? Quick, what was the first thing that came to your mind when you read that? What would cause you to wake up every morning and say “wow, I can’t believe I get to do this for a living!”

For me… it took a long time, but I finally think I’ve figured out my purpose…it’s all of you…it’s everyone who reads this blog…it’s all the people I will help with my nutrition degree. I feel like my purpose is to help inspire people to be their best self, inside and out, and live as long as possible to accomplish their life purpose. The best way I know how to do that is through inspiration and education.

Do you believe there is a purpose to life, a reason for living? Or are we just born, we live, go to school, get a job, pay bills, retire, then die? I personally don’t believe that’s why God put us on this planet. AND Neither does Mr. Zig Ziglar. According to him, we are engineered for purpose. Take a look:

The one question that will help you find your purpose…

It seriously brings me such joy to inspire people, to help people, to make a difference in the lives of others. There really is nothing like it. So what brings you that kind of joy? Have you given it any thought? I’m sure you have. Do you have a little voice in your head that says “I wish I could do that for a living, but it’s just not possible.” But, I believe ANYTHING is possible.  Through hard work and determination, you can make your dreams happen.

But what if you don’t know what your dream is…Maybe you don’t know what your life purpose is and you are lost in the forest of life, trying to find it. Well, if that’s the case, ask yourself that question, the one in the quote above, and in the video below. What would you do with that one year? Take a look at what Prince Ea has to say about purpose…

I’ll end with this poem, in which a man asks God “What is my purpose in life?” I love this poem. It such a lovely way of saying we are here to enjoy life. We are here to smell the roses and let the sun shine down on us and dance in the rain.

  1. Tamara, it’s an inspiring post. I’m still trying to figure out my life’s purpose. But one thing I’m sure of that is to live life to the fullest no matter what.

  2. I liked both videos, and the Oscar Wilde quote at the beginning of the first one really connected with me. I want to be an author whose books are beloved by children, like Roald Dahl. Have you ever read anything by Viktor Frankl, author of Man’s Purpose for Meaning? I have not yet but I want to!

I'd love to know what you think!
