Did you know the bacteria in your gut (probiotics) out weigh the cells in our body 10 to 1?! That’s right your gut is TEAMING with bacteria, but they are very important part of the digestive process. Here is an infographic showing a few facts about probiotics.

So, just what do these little buggers do? These probiotics, are considered “good” bugs, or healthy bacteria. They promote a healthy digestive tract, healthy digestive system, produce vitamin B-12 and vitamin K, just to name a few.  They will assist in gut repair. Here are a few other important tasks they accomplish:

You can take probiotic supplements, however, it’s always better to find a whole food alternative. Probiotics can be found in the following foods:
