Daily Inspiration: Flights of Hope

There are thousands of sick children across the nation in need of transplants or medical services who are restricted from public flying due to scheduling conflicts, infection control or other restrictions, such as oxygen tanks. This is where flying services, such as Wings Flights of Hope step in to help.

Wings is a free service offered to anyone in need of transportation for medical or humanitarian purposes. They mainly offer flights to sick children, but also serve our military. Not only do they provide free flights to wounded military veterans, but their families as well.

According to their website, here is their mission:

Our Mission

The mission of Wings Flights of Hope Inc. is to help people in need of free air transportation for medical and humanitarian purposes. Basically helping anyone, anytime, anyplace. At Wings we do not want transportation to stand in the way of a patient receiving the best possible treatment available. With this purpose in mind, our volunteer pilots enjoy giving the gift of hope to so many passengers, and we are honored to be able to give someone a lift when they are down

Here’s their story:

Here are a few of the people helped by “Wings Flights of Hope”:

  1. Thx for the information! This is why i admire the USA.
Here in Europe, we always represent the USA a little negative as a model of capitalism, but we i thinik we here in europe have the really inhuman capitalism…

    • Thank you for saying that. I appreciate that. There are a lot of very kind people in this country, even though things are a bit messed up right now. I have done a lot of travelling through Europe, and have always been treated with kindness and respect as an American. I love Europe. I was once told by someone over there that Europeans love American citizens, they just don’t always agree with the American government.
