Reasons Why Eggs Are The Healthiest Food on The Planet  – Think Smart

The blog Think Smart recently posted a wonderful article on the health benefits of eggs, busting the myth that they are bad for you. The link to that article is below, but, before you head over to the Think Smart website, I wanted to add one thing…

Not all eggs are created equal. Just like not all beef, chicken or fish are equal. As always, I advocate organic food when possible. When it comes to animal protein, go for quality, not quantity. You only need a small amount of protein at each meal, a serving about the size of the palm of your hand. So…for beef – 100% grass fed, chicken – free range, fish – wild. For eggs – make sure you are purchasing FREE RANGE (AKA: PASTURE RAISED) ORGANIC EGGS. Many people will tell you that cage free eggs are just as good or that regular eggs are fine.  They’ll say that free range eggs aren’t worth the extra few dollars. This just isn’t true. Because they are allowed to roam free and act like chickens are supposed to, they have a more nutrient dense profile than commercially produced eggs.  A picture is worth a thousand words. Instead of writing about eggs any more, look at the photo and infographic below. You be the judge:
