Daily Inspiration: Trees as a symbol of love on the circle of life-The Footpath of Life

2ebcf96335ea79aa7e399b859e686c94When I came up with the idea to do a “daily inspiration”, I decided to approach it a bit different than most people. There are thousands of people online, inspiring people through quotes, videos and music. While I will, on occasion, share an uplifting quote, an inspirational song, or motivational video, my main goal is to inspire you, by sharing what other people are doing to help or motivate those around them. My goal is to introduce you to non-profit organizations, of which you’ve probably never heard. One of the first inspiration blogs I wrote, of this nature, was How to move a mountain…The Power of Kindness, which highlights Orley Wahba, and the organization she founded called Life Vest Inside, which empowers people through acts of kindness.

Today’s daily inspiration will focus on the organization: The Footpath of Life. It’s funny  downloadhow God works, isn’t it? This morning, when I woke up, I had no idea what to do for my daily inspiration. As the day progressed, I received a message on my Twitter account from the founder of The Footpath of Life. Now, I had just followed him, so, it was probably an automated message, but, that didn’t matter. The idea was sparked. Here’s what his message said.

“After the suicide of my partner last year, I started the international project “Footpath of Life.”  One tree for everybody we lost. (not only based on a suicide) on a path around the world. I will walk and install. Everybody can ask for a tree for a loved one.

I wanted to reach as many people as possible, who are affected by a suicide, death and those who are in a terrible mental situation too, to show them: everything is possible.

The project’s goal is to support suicide prevention organizations all over the world-active & financially.”

The rest of the message proceeds to ask for help promoting and supporting the organization. So, that’s what I’m doing.

…promote and support Footpath of Life with your sharing, likes or your own tree-so it can find his way to those who want to become a part of it?…And if you can support it with a little donation….Thank you very much & many greetings. Mario

Here is a quote from his “Go fund me” page:

      – A path around the world, lined by the trees of memory, I will plant for those who left us, and those who are left behind in terrible fear and most of the time with broken hearts and a crack in their soul, which will be never healed again.

Here is a short video, which explains a bit more about the project.

About Tamara Hoerner (1303 Articles)
Welcome to The Purple Almond! My name is Tamara Hoerner. I am a student at Hawthorn University working toward a Master of Science in Health and Nutrition Education. For me, the name Purple Almond symbolizes “Good, nutritious, whole food bringing light and life to the body, awakening the inherent healing mechanisms within.” I'm all about getting back to the basics, good old fashioned traditional organic, whole food, the kind your great-grandmother used to eat. You'll find no processed foods here. Just good food to heal your whole body. I also believe a healthy body isn't just about food. Stress plays a large part in the physical health of our body. I, therefore, believe in using anything that relieves stress and heals the body, including: mediation, yoga, music, laughter, inspiration and helping others. You'll find all these included in my blog as well.

  3. I think it’s great that you’re playing your part by helping to promote these organisations. We all hear about the big charities like Red Cross but these smaller ones serve a purpose as well.
