There are a multitude of holidays and religious festivals during the month of December, whether it’s HanukkahChristmas, or Kwanzaa. Other religions have celebrations as well, such as the Hindu festival of Pancha Ganapati, or the Buddhist Bodhi Day. There’s also the pagan celebrations of Yalda and Yule.

Yes, there are many reasons to shop, celebrate, eat, decorate and give gifts. We get caught up in the commercialism of the season and forget the one thing on which all of these different religions and beliefs agree: the Golden Rule: love one another as you love yourself. Treat others as you wish to be treated. Put simply: Be kind.

During this holiday season, on this inspiration Friday, I’d like to show you a short 5 minute video that illustrates the power of a simple, small, random act of kindness. This video is from the phenomenal organization: Life Vest Inside. Enjoy, and Happy Holidays.
